SUMMER YOUTH FENCING CAMP: in Frederick County, Maryland

For Ages: 8-13 years of age

Description:

Head Coach, David Copeland, USFA Professional Member, has over 20 years of coaching experience in the sport of fencing. This one week fencing camp will cover a brief history of the sword, as it relates to fencing, dueling, and the beginnings of the sport. Campers will acquire an understanding of the weapons, how each one is used, and the modern-day understanding of the rules, footwork, form, and function and will have the opportunity to learn to fence on a fencing strip, using the same style of electronic equipment used in the modern Olympic Games. Use of all protective fencing gear is provided in the camp. Camp Supply fee of $35 will be collected the first day of camp. Email us on how to register. This camp should fill up fast!
